Ethical & Sustainable Supply Chain
Our extensive operations provide a unique opportunity to integrate sustainability into our sourcing. This positively impacts our business operations and advances ESG best practices in the supply chain, bringing benefits to local communities.
OUR TARGETS
- Purchasing 100% of our bed linen and towels from OEKO-TEX®-certified suppliers and 100% of our pure cotton linen and towels from sustainable sources by 2030
- Procuring 20% of our seafood from sustainable, local, and/or globally recognized certification schemes by 2025
- Sourcing 50% of our chemicals rated as Green or Amber by 2025
- Sourcing 100% cage-free eggs by 2025
Melco’s supply chain engagement process includes onboarding with acknowledgement of our Supplier Code of Conduct, supplier screening and relationship management. Suppliers are screened through environmental, social, governance and business relevance aspects and classified into risk levels to systematically identify our significant suppliers. The screening process considers country-risk specific risks of our tier 1 suppliers.
